CLAY SCULPURES IN PORCELAIN & STONEWARE
The ceramic sculpture begins with an idea and a block of clay.
My hands try to form that idea into the clay. The clay dries and the idea becomes manifest.
It is fired in the kiln to 1800°F.
Finished with a handmade glaze.
Back into the kiln again, where the magic of a 2300°F reduction firing occurs.
